Central Heating Controller

Helpful Notes

The central heating controller is now set for all our normal activity.
It should only need to be changed for deviations to the norm.

The base temp is set at 10c. So adjust up the temp on the start slot to say 20c.
Build in at least 1 hour to warm up, 2 hours in bad weather and cut off 1 hour before the end time. It takes about 1 hour to notice the effect of turn off.

Optimum

Uses of function called "Optimum Start". This is activated.
What it means is that the start time is the time when you want the temperature to be reached. The controller works out when it needs to switch on to achieve the temperature. Good when mild or extremely cold but given the size of the space it is not very effective at acheiving target and needs additional time before the start point.

Programming

It has 7 day control with 6 temperature settings per day organised in pairs of on/off.

  1. an example for Sunday with morning sevice, afternoon Messy Church and and evening concert could be
  2. Morning
  3. Temp Level 1  11.00hrs temp 21°C - on
  4. Temp Level 2  12.00hrs temp 10°C - off
  5. Afternoon
  6. Temp Level 3  13.00hrs temp 21°C - on
  7. Temp Level 4  15.00hrs temp 10°C - off
  8. Evening
  9. Temp Level 5  19.00hrs temp 21°C - on
  10. Temp Level 6  21.00hrs temp 10°C - off
  11. Note Just leave the times in but change the temp down to a min of 10°C.

Audio Visual and Internet

Sound SystemAMIS120XL installation instructions and  specification.

Amplifier Installation

Amplifier Specification

Helpful Notes

The inputs have all been reset so that the amplified output is less sensitive.
Use the individual volume controls to adjust the sound output. Note try not to utilise the master volume as this effects all of the outputs.

Wireless Mike Transmiter - TOA WT4810

Helpful Notes

We have acheived a balanced system, avoiding feedbacks and clarity of output. Each of the dials has an indicative setting marked with a white spot. This was acheived with trial and error but deviations do have consequences.

Projector - Epson 5650W

Note Audio loopback in the form of a downlink cable (installed in Jan 2022) now goes to the sound system. So the HDMI input takes both audio and video from the source which is now the Ezcast (wireless connector). Laptop and Smart Phones connect wirelessly and pass both audio.

Wireless Projection

Based on the EzCast 2 device Setup Instructions for CCC

Ezcast is connected to the Projector HDMI cable ready to receive Audio visual transmissions from Smart Phones / Laptops.

Tp-Link 4G Router

Connects the church to the Internet via 4G

The router is set up with a 4G connection to the internet with currently a Gif-Gaf sim on a 10 gigabit per month.
This is on a £10 monthly automatic renewal.
It can be cancelled by just stopping the auto renewal.

Ezcast connects wirelessly to the router to get Internet access.

Note We have not made access generally available for public use as we have a limited data tariff.

Kitchen Shutter

UPS to drive the kitchen shutter in the event of a power failure.
Should be included in the fire safety testing.
Installed on 29/06/2023 but will need replacing around July 2028.

Located on top of the cupboard to the left of the shutter.

Testing can take place by temporarly switching off at its socket (above and to the left of the shutter).

Unit should buzz (to indicate loss of mains) but the shutter should open / close.
Failure to open could be a flat battery or UPS needs testing / replacing.

Note changed the setup so that the UPS can be by-passed if UPS fails.
This should only be used as a temporary fix until UPS is fixed / replaced.

SumUp - Contactless Donations / Payments

SumUp Terminal
SumUp Terminal

We now have a contactless payment terminal and moving forward with the times to make it easier for people to donate to church if they do not have cash in their pocket. This system does not replace the present envelope or standing order system which, you may have set up. The Sumup contactless terminal allows the church to take donations contact less or by card or by Apple or Android Pay.
Gift Aid is still possible, just complete the blue envelope as usual (to claim back the tax) and indicate donation by card.
Also we can take donations via our website which has a Donate to Church link to take card donations. You will also see QR codes appearing in documents such as the Village Newsletter, the Weekly Service Sheet and on posters. This enables a smart phone to scan the QR code which then takes the user to Christ Church's donation web page at SumUp. Entering the donation amount and card details will enable the donator to donate without any assistance or payment machine. We are all feeling the financial pinch but please consider a donation to keep our doors open. Thank you in anticipation.

Helpful Notes

1.) Setup to use a direct 4G connection (as we have a good signal and the connection through our internet connection was poor).
2.) WIFI has been switched off not needed for every day use (saves battery). Also told device to forget WiFi connection (seems to want to revert to WiFi when it restarts).
3.) Reduced the contrast to improve battery life.
4.) Setup fixed menu buttons with "£5 Donation" or "£10 Donation" or "£15 Donation" or "£20 Donation".
5.) If device asks for password it means it is not connected to the Internet - Solution ReBoot.
6.) May get blocked by the need for update to software. Solution - Click on Update, leave and allow 10mins whilst the update downloads and auto updates. Should go back to payment page when complete.
